Pima County Career Fair Returns to Tucson's Kino Event Center Nov. 5
TUCSON, AZ — Pima County is opening the doors of the Kino Event Center to job seekers on Thursday, November 5, for its fall Pima County Career Fair. From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., county departments and community partners will be on hand at 2805 E. Ajo Way to talk about public-sector careers, the kind of steady, benefits-backed work a lot of Tucsonans are hunting for heading into 2027.
One day, one building on the south side, and face time with the county's own departments. Set up your application profile before you go.

What the County Has Announced
The fair is listed on Pima County's Jobs & Careers page and on the county's Pima Works job openings calendar, which describes it as a chance to meet county departments and community partners and learn about career opportunities. That is the official word so far.
What the county has not published yet is a list of which departments and outside employers will have tables, or how many openings they are bringing. We are not going to guess. To get the roster when it drops, sign up for the county's career fair notification list.
For a sense of the range, coverage of an earlier county career fair at the same venue by KVOA listed Pima County's Health Department, Human Resources and Sheriff's Department, plus outside recruiters including the Tucson Police Department, the Arizona Department of Corrections and several local school districts. Treat that as a prior-year preview, not this year's lineup.
💼 Why Public-Sector Work Is Worth a Look
County government is one of the bigger employers in the region, and its work touches everything from libraries in Oro Valley to wastewater plants along the Santa Cruz River. The jobs run the full ladder: office and customer service roles, maintenance and grounds crews, public health, corrections and law enforcement, IT, and professional positions in finance and planning.
Government hiring also moves on its own clock. Many positions require an online application through the county system before an offer can be made, which is why showing up with a profile already built saves you a step.
📋 How to Show Up Ready
- Build your county application profile first. Start from the Jobs & Careers page and save your work history once, so applying after the fair takes minutes.
- Bring printed resumes. Eight to ten copies covers a full room.
- Know your lane. Office, field, public safety and health care tables will be looking for different things. Decide where you fit before you walk in.
- Dress for an interview. First impressions count at a government table too.
Two other events land the same stretch of the calendar. The DREAM Job Fair fills the same Kino Event Center on Tuesday, October 27, for job seekers with disabilities. And the day before this fair, on Wednesday, November 4, the Pima County One-Stop is hosting an Apprenticeship Access Day at its Northwest Service Center for anyone weighing paid training in the trades. Different events, different days, different goals.
